3/31/06-Live Broadcast Preview

It's the week of the always awesome Noise Pop festival here in San Francisco so I've been a little too busy to sort through the new stuff that arrived this week. I have a bunch of new releases loaded onto my iPod, which I plan to listen to throughout the day, and hopefully there will be some new gems to test out on you guys and then perhaps add to regular rotation on the station.

Speaking of Noise Pop, I'd like to thank Hijack The Disco, Birdmonster, and The Heavenly States for playing acoustic mini-sets at the BAGeL Radio-hosted Noise Pop Happy Hour on Wednesday. I really appreciate their support, and I appreciate the support of everyone that came out to hang out at that early hour to make it a happy one. A few pix here.

By the way, Birdmonster (all plugged-in and electric-like) plays tonight at Slim's with Film School, Cloud Room, and Send For Help, and Hijack The Disco is playing (all plugged-in and electric-like) tomorrow (Saturday) night at the Rickshaw Stop with Brothers Past and Parker Street Cinema. Also, The Heavenly States will be screening the film of their wild visit to Libya at ATA on Saturday (4/1) afternoon at 4 p.m. Having read about the trip and heard stories from the band, I can't wait to see the footage and how they've cut it all together.
