"480 Minutes" - AIDS Walk Donation Request

Hello and a happy holiday weekend Friday to our U.S. listeners. I'm sure that many of you will have today off from work so you may not get to tune in to the show, but please don't let that stop you from helping Team BAGeL Radio raise money in the San Francisco AIDS Walk on July 18th. The team is walking for friends lost as well as friends currently living with HIV. Research funded in part by AIDS Walks has lead to advanced treatments and medication, allowing HIV+ people to live longer, healthier lives. There is still a long way to go, so please pledge what you can in support of this effort at the Team BAGeL Radio page.

During today's show we've got tickets to give away for a series of Saturday night midnight movies with live music coming soon to the Bridge Theatre. The series is called Rocksploitation, and before each film Citizen Midnight ("cinema’s most obnoxiously amazing rock ‘n’ roll band") will perform "songs from and inspired by these twisted cinematic masterpieces." Check out the film schedule below in the gig list. Full details at http://landmarkafterdark.com.

Also, next Wednesday, July 7th is The Rumble SF! Back at Cafe du Nord, featuring live performances by A B & The Sea, What Laura Says, and So Many Wizards. As always, I'll be there DJing, so please do drop by. Click here to RSVP for free admission.

Now for the music...today 480 Minutes will feature new music from The Arcade Fire (Montreal, Canada), A B & The Sea (Oakland, CA), Francis and The Lights (New York, NY), Gigi (Vancouver, Canada), The Like (Los Angeles, CA), The Love Language (Wilmington, NC), So Many Wizards (Los Angeles, CA), and Sonny Pete (San Francisco, CA).

Please tune in today and every Friday to 480 Minutes between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
