480 Minutes - Double Plus Negative

On Monday The Facsist Tangerine threw his own intelligence community under a bus. Again. This time he did so while on foreign soil, standing next to the guy who directed an ongoing cyber and fake news attack against the country the FT is sworn to protect. 28 hours, 2 interviews, and a mess of Tweets later, the FT decided he needed to clarify one small thing. That one small, scripted clarification, even if delivered properly (it wasn't, he undermined it immediately with an unscripted addendum), directly contradicted other things he'd said on Monday, and what he's been saying ever since the campaign.

Also, wing nuts picked up on Putin's bogus "$400B bombshell" claim about HRC, and even though Trump's puppet master has since withdrawn the false claim, are still meme-ing about it. Putin's no dummy (that's the FT), he knows that those who blindly repeated his lie would not bother to correct the record and would instead continue to spread it. The facts: HRC got $18k from Ziff Brothers and its employees. The firm  donated $300k to the DNC and also funded Republican campaigns, and gave $200k to a Republican PAC. As with Bengazhi, her e-mail server, and PizzaGate, there was no "there" there.

Things have gotten so bad in Magatistan that several of The Trumped I've tussled with this week did not even watch the Debacle in Helsinki. They knew it wouldn't go well, and since hearing that even Faux News couldn't hold it's nose long enough to defend that train wreck,  some had avoided watching their beloved propaganda outlet this week.  Those Trumped, by the way? Still defending him over it, even though they didn't see it, regurgitating simplistic (and false) talking points from Tomi Lahren, Sean Hannity, and other Cult 45 deputies.

Can you imagine being so emotionally tied to a celebrity con artist that rather than learn a negative truth about that person, you'd opt to put in your earplugs, pull on your eyeshades, and then not even have the decency to know where to put the cork?

Today's BAGeL Radio debuts will include new music today from Bodega (Brooklyn, NY), Champagne Superchillin' (Brooklyn, NY), Drahla (Leeds, England), Negative Scanner (Chicago, IL, @scannernegative), Tip Top Nap (Kyoto, Japan, @tip_top_nap), and Wand/Darto (Los Angeles, CA and Seattle, WA).

You may also hear a bunch of Camp Cope songs today because we're going to see said Melbourne band tonight at the Bowery Ballroom, so there.

The show is live-hosted from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. (probably more like 4 p.m. today) Eastern U.S. Time and is followed by 2 hours of uninterrupted music.  The show is then rebroadcast in it's entirety beginning at 7 p.m., then again on Saturday at 5 a.m. and 3 p.m., and one final time on Sunday at 1 a.m., followed by a rebroadcast of this week's Fuzzy Road radio show at 11 a.m. and then a couple of old 480 Minutes episodes from this week in past years, making for hosted shows all weekend long.
