"480 Minutes" - Throw In The Paper Towels

Because nothing says "sanctity of life" quite like tasking government employees with terrorizing marginalized people instead of directing them to assist in disaster relief: as tropical storm Barry bears down on New Orleans, the Trump Administration is once again threatening to sic ICE on undocumented immigrant families in deportation raids across the country. Those raids were scheduled to include Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and -- you guessed it -- New Orleans! Will The Dotard fly down there to survey the damage and throw paper towels at the victims? Only time will tell.

Today's 480 Minutes show will feature new songs by Autogramm (Vancouver, Canada,  @autogrammband), The Black Keys (Akron, OH, @TheBlackKeys), Honey Radar (Philadelphia, PA, @honeyradar), The National (Brooklyn, NY via Cincinnati, OH, @TheNational), Thom Yorke (Los Angeles, CA via Oxford, England, @ThomYorke), and Versus (New York, NY).

Versus is playing an early show tonight (7/12) at Baby's All Right (Brooklyn, NY, @babysallright), by the way!

480 Minutes is live-hosted from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time and is followed by 2 hours of uninterrupted music. The show is then rebroadcast in it's entirety beginning at 7 p.m., then again on Saturday at 5 a.m. and 3 p.m., and one final time on Sunday at 1 a.m., followed by a rebroadcast of this week's Fuzzy Road radio show at 11 a.m. and then a couple of old 480 Minutes episodes from this week in past years, making for hosted shows all weekend long.

Tune in! (somafm.com/bagel, plus SomaFM channels are available on many set top boxes and home audio systems as well as virtual assistants by voice command).
