"480 Minutes" - new Lee Ranaldo

It's Friday and I'm in a crappy mood.  Why? Because so many shit records crossed my desk these past couple of weeks that it made me wonder if, perhaps, the radio promo companies and labels had conspired to pull a joke on me.  Yes, that bad.  Top that off with finding myself out and about in stores and restaurants and bars hearing seriously corporate 80s "smooth music" tripe like Billy Ocean and Loggins & Messina -- it's like punk rock never happened -- I have to take a deep breath and remind myself that these things go in cycles, and right now we are once again circling the yacht rock drain.

In more pleasant news, some folks are still making great music!
