The Fuzzy Road Radio Show, our weekly live-hosted psych and garage rock show which runs Tuesdays from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m will be a re-run today as we continue to arrange, re-arrange, and re-arrange again our year-end best-of lists to present to you this Friday. It’s a crazy-making process when trying to rank a handful of songs and albums. We’re sifting through hundreds!
Speaking of which, be sure to tune in to BAGeL Radio this Friday, December 21st, to hear our top 200 songs of 2018 -- the playlist will be all 2018 music all day beginning at 9 a.m. Eastern U.S. time.
We experimented with new timing last year and it went down well, particularly with the West Coast, so we’ll try that again: our Top Songs of the year countdown will begin with song #50 at 11 a.m. ET instead of 10 a.m. We should reach the top 10 around 1:30 p.m. and finish up by 2:30 p.m. It’s impossible to precisely predict because it depends on the length of those 50 songs and just how verbose your host is feeling that day. The rest of the show will consist of our 150 or so other favorite songs of the year including sets of songs highlighting our favorite cover versions of 2018.
The year-end best-of show is extended to a 12-hour run-time, no requests are taken, and the first rebroadcast will begin 2 hours later than usual. The reruns will begin 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. Saturday, 9 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m Sunday, and 9 p.m. Sunday.
