"480 Minutes" 5/18/07 - new National (album of the year so far!)

As of this morning the Internet Radio Equality Act (H.R. 2060) is to up 86 co-sponsors and a sister bill is making it's way through the Senate. Sadly, thusfar many senators seem incapable of grasping the basics of the issue, but we will find a way to remedy that. If your legislators are not yet on board, please contact them and let them know that independent internet radio is important to you. Hell, it's the future of radio and music promotion.

Today's program will include new music by Them Hills (from Nevada City, CA.), The Ladybug Transistor (Brooklyn), Wheat (Canton, MA) , Immaculate Machine (Halifax, Nova Scotia), Dog Day (also from Halifax), Cabin (Kentucky), Low Vs. Diamond (LA), Maggots (Sweden), The Val Papadins (Sonoma, CA), D.O.A. (Vancouver, BC, re-release), The Polyphonic Spree, South Ambulance (Sweden), The Horrors (London), Astral (SF), Rescue Me (SF), The Morning Benders (SF), Tenderhooks (Knoxville, TN), and The National (NYC via Cincinnati), whose new record, Boxer, is the album of the year so far. I have no idea which songs to play for you because they are all so good.

Please tune in, the program runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time. It promises to be a good one because today I cleaned out the coffee pot with vinegar and the first brew since the cleaning was simply superb. The next few will be even better, before the residue build-up leads to the inevitable taste decline. Superb coffee+new music=happy host=good show. Or something like that. As always, you are encouraged to request songs and stuff via:
