"480 Minutes" featuring new Frank Turner!

Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate the Rumble's first anniversary (photos), and for Jason Jurgens of The Owl Mag and Larry Little of TankFarm-FutureSounds for making it happen. I had a great time, as always, sharing "the decks" with DJ Aaron Axelsen of Popscene and Live105.

New music today will include songs by Loquat (San Francisco, CA), Sebastien Grainger (Toronto, Canada), Pretty & Nice (Boston, MA), Shiloe (Los Angeles, CA), Peel (Austin, TX), The Knew (Denver, CO), McCarthy Trenching (Omaha, NE), Women (Alberta, Canada), Sleeping In The Aviary (Madison, WI), The Rosebuds (Raleigh, NC), Seabear (Reykjavik, Iceland), and our beloved Frank Turner (Winchester, England).

Please tune in to "480 Minutes" today and every Friday. The show runs live from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time, is rebroadcast starting at 8 p.m., then twice more on Saturday. On Saturday night at midnight we return to regular BAGeL Radio programming.

I have been unable to keep up with my photo-taking lately. This week I forced myself to sift through my recent pix so I could participate in a friendly theme photo project. Man, there were a lot of photos to go through! Nearly 800 that were tagged "music" in September. I selected 20 for upload, including some of Squeeze @ The Mountain Winery and some from the Treasure Island Music Festival. See samples from that group of photos below, and click on any to go to the set of 20. Hopefully this weekend I will find the time to edit and upload full sets of each band.

Question: if you didn't play Palin Bingo during the Vice Presidential debate last night, you missed out. If you did play Palin Bingo and turned it into a drinking game, you are totally hung over.

Why A BAGeL??
