"480 Minutes" featuring new Eagles Of Death Metal

For the second straight week the show will feature fewer new songs than usual, in part due to the fact that fewer packages than usual (by about half -- I wonder if my last "480 Minutes" post offended some folks?!) arrived this week. Maybe it's just the pre-turkey slow down. Speaking of which, next Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, and since pretty much no one in the US works in offices on that day (and those that do are consumed with coming up cruel and brutish ways to murder the person who forced them to be in the office), so next week there will be a re-run. For those that do tune in, you will be treated to a classic episode, perhaps the Best Music of 2007 show? We'll see.

New music today from Maus Haus (San Francisco, CA), Belle and Sebastian (Glasgow, Scotland), Eagles Of Death Metal (Palm Desert, CA), Hush Arbors (Virginia), Listing Ship (Los Angeles, CA), The Loom (Brooklyn, NY), Mount Eerie (Anacortes, WA), and Quitzow (Hudson Valley, NY).

Please tune in to "480 Minutes" today and every Friday. The show runs live from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Time, is rebroadcast starting at 8 p.m., then twice more on Saturday. On Saturday night at midnight we return to regular BAGeL Radio programming.

Gratuitous political content: Alaska Senator Ted Stevens (R-Slimeball) lost his re-election bid, closing the door on Sarah Palin's quick route to Washington D.C. One door closes for Sarah, another opens: Yahoo! Boss Yang To Step Down -- what better job for America's newly crowned queen of the yahoos than the head of Yahoo!?
