"480 Minutes"

Hey, you know what?  I was called a racist this week.  For the first time in my life!  The accuser is a successful anti-tax white guy from a rich, white, conservative, military base-heavy city who insists that discrimination no longer plays a role in everyday life here in the U.S.  The accusation came at the end of a discussion in which I argued (shockingly) that discrimination (based on race, sex, religion, etc.) does indeed still exist and affects millions on a daily basis.  He thinks that  Americans are all born with equal opportunities and that racism and capitalism are mutually exclusive.  Me and my stupid crazy, way out there ideas!

In more important news, tonight (4/27) is Loquat's CD release show at The Independent.  Also are on the bill are Mister Loveless and Excuses For Skipping.  All three are Bay Area bands we recommend checking out. As an added bonus I will be there DJing between bands, so if you are in the Bay Area and not sick of me by the end of today's program, please buy tickets and make your way up to the balcony to say hi.
