It's still summer here in New York. 80 degrees, then 90, and muggy, then thunder showers back to 80…rinse…repeat…
But let's not talk about the weather when we can talk about the public relations arm of the Republican Party (which masquerades as a News Channel) deciding it's OK to flat out lie in order to blame a president they hate more than they hate actual liberals for something…anything…everything.
But let's not talk about politics when there's new music to talk about including tunes debuting today on 480 Minutes including music by Alvvays (Toronto, CA, @AlvvvaysBand), Broncho (OK), Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley, @JennyLewis), Max Pain and the Groovies (Salt Lake City, UT, @MaxPainGroovies), The OBN III's (Austin, TX), and The Rentals (Los Angeles, CA, @TheRentals).
Also, we debuted a new song by The Raveonettes earlier this week during the Fuzzy Road radio show (Tuesdays from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time featuring psych rock/garage rock, space rock, and a fair amount of shoe gazer music, truth be told), and we will be playing that one today for sure.
Yes, music, that's what we're here for. Beautiful noisy moving music.
