"480 Minutes" - FreeDumb Ruckus

Matthew Whitaker, one of Individual1's least credible toadies, this week blurted out, on live television, "Abuse of power is not a crime." This giant thumb (he really does look like a giant thumb, sorry not sorry) must have skipped class that day at the University of Iowa when the Federalist Papers were discussed. In Federalist 65, Alexander Hamilton wrote, "A well-constituted court for the trial of impeachments [has as] subjects of its jurisdiction...those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust." A career *grifter in his hero's image, the thoroughly *unqualified Whitaker was briefly and *unconstitutionally anointed acting Attorney General of the United States when Jeff Sessions was finally swatted aside and Bill Barr was busy being buffed for his confirmation. Whitaker is the same kind of *charlatan as the fetid creamsicle whose every offense he so slavishly defends -- he was on the board of directors of a Trump University-style scam which claimed to help inventors get patents and market their inventions. In reality the company was just pocketing client money and was shuttered and fined $26M by the FTC for the *scam. Whitaker was also a key investor in a taxpayer-subsidized apartment-rehabilitation project which *stiffed the contractors working on it.

*Whitaker is a near-perfect Don The Con minion.*

Meanwhile Representative Matt Gaetz and his merry band of boot lickers disrupted a the closed-door impeachment inquiry several of them were invited to this week. You'd think it was an obvious no-no to have cell phones at proceedings which might reveal classified information, but you'd only think that if you were unfamiliar with members of the FreeDumb Caucus involved in the ruckus like Louie Gohmert, Mo Brooks, and Gym Jordan. Several of these Misrepresentatives™ tweeted from inside the "secure" room, later denying it despite ample evidence.

As alluded to above, it turns out more than a dozen of Matt's Fake-Aggrieved Flash Mob were actually allowed to be at the inquiry, making it embarrassingly clear that this was simply a distracting spectacle at the behest of their orange puppet master. These closed-door meetings are attended by Republicans and Democrats, all participating and asking questions, so the "behind closed doors" talking point is just...wait for it...an intentional and mendacious misrepresentation of fact that will be swallowed whole and without question by the Fox News-poisoned population for whom this stunt was staged.

I'm thinking Penzey's Spices might be on to something with their campaign to hold accountable the Top 50 Funding Fox.
