This week former Shithole Administration National Security advisor HR McMaster decided to make shit up to stir shit up, so of course cable news couldn't get enough of him. On multiple networks he was handed a mic through which he suggested the Kabul airport bombings yesterday were carried out by a group that was "a cut out for the Taliban." Even if he's right (he's not) it's the absolutely wrong thing to say right now. NO MOTHERFUCKER WHO WORKED FOR THAT LYING ORANGE CANCER has any credibility and thereby should not be booked on these shows for their expertise.
(Of course I know it's not for their expertise, it's because lying bomb-throwing assholes say asshole things which go viral which is good for ratings while simultaneously destroying everything else but what's more American than that?).
So cable news maintains that it was in no way responsible for putting the Shitgibbon in the White House and continues to help the Republican Party damage American democracy with it's frequent unwillingness to provide context essential to understanding what is happening and why it is happening. Meanwhile President Biden (and for those paying attention I've been a Biden detractor since before the Obama Administration) is taking the political hit for doing the right thing and in so doing has managed to out-President and out-human the former guy with one simple act. Meanwhile the former guy says things like, "Do you miss me yet?" and goes Fox News to talk up the terrorist leaders killed on his watch while downplaying the historical importance of Osama bin Laden. It's as if he really is as ignorant of recent history as feared, that he really doesn't know that without OBL, "his" kills wouldn't have been necessary...and Fox News obviously believes that Maga/their viewers are equally ignorant.
So...how's your week going?
