Occupy Wall Street is beginning to be taken seriously, it's spreading, and it could turn out to be the most important protest seen in the US since the civil rights protests in the 1960s. Bracing stuff.
In the sadness department, Apple visionary Steve Jobs passed away this week. He accomplished more in his 56 years than most people would in 200. It is unlikely someone of his genius will be seen again for a long time, and he will be missed. RIP, Steve.
In the lesser sadness but sad nonetheless department, baseball season ended last night.

Lyric Of The Week: "You'll have to forgive me brother/ You'll have to forgive me sister/ And I'll have to forgive you if we're ever going to move on/ No one's going to find any answers/ If you're looking in the dark/ And looking for a reason to give up." -Girls, "Forgiveness"
