Remember all of that Clown Coup stuff I was stressing about while the Stable Genius was busy decapitating the Department of Defense after he lost the election? Yeah...turns out U.S. military leaders were stressing about the same thing.
More frightening than having a sitting president considering using the military to retain power is that the most likely reason he didn't act on his worst impulses (in this case) was his certainty his Kraken team of lawyers would litigate the election all the way to the Supreme Court where "his" three appointees (along with the other three justices appointed by fellow Republican presidents who also lost the popular vote) would overturn the results in his favor. This week he blasted one of those three in particular, confirming what everyone knew -- Kavanaugh wasn't in any way qualified for the position -- saying, "I saved his life. He wouldn't even be in a law firm. Who would have had him? Nobody. Totally disgraced. Only I saved him." Worse still is that this sociopathic know-nothing delusional Cheeto-dust-colored wannabe autocrat still openly controls the Republican Party -- yesterday the top Republican in the House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy was again summoned to kiss the ring.
Meanwhile emergency rooms are filling up with infected, unvaccinated Pro-Polio Pinheads as the delta variant spreads while CPAC applauds the news that the new administration failed to meet it's July 1st vaccination goals. Of course the pastor who gave the morning prayer ahead of key one-note speaker #Individual 1 had been recently ousted from his ministry in part for preaching anti-vaccine rhetoric. Only the best people. As Paul Krugman wrote in his newsletter this week, "This madness will kill thousands of Americans in the next few months, because politics is by far the best predictor of who is still refusing to get vaccinated. But Covid deaths may be only the beginning of the deadly effects of the triumph of the paranoid style."
