"480 Minutes" - Live...From San Francisco (on Pacific Time!)

We will indeed be doing a remote broadcast today from the Soma district of San Francisco!  Yay!

Today's episode of 480 Minutes (Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Pacific U.S.Time) will debut no new songs and instead focus on some of the great releases we've debuted for you thusfar in 2014 including San Francisco bands Pow! and Painted Palms, plus Throwing Muses, Dog Bite, Cate Le Bon, Is/Is, Dum Dum Girls, together Pangea, and The Rebel Set, to name 8.

Requests will be taken and perhaps even honored during the live-hosted hours via e-mail, and IM:

e-mail: ted(at)somafm.com
Yahoo IM/GoogleTalk: bagelradio
AOL/iChat: bagelradiolive
facebook.com/pages/BAGeL-Radio
Twitter: @bagelradio

Please tune in ...  http://somafm.com/bagel/

Tonight (1/31/14) we will also host a party/show at Bottom of the Hill featuring Birdmonster, The
Lower 48, and City Light.

If you are in the Bay Area and looking for something fun to do while supporting music and making BAGeL Radio very happy, please drop by!  Music Director BAGeL Ted will be providing the music before, between, and after the bands, so get there when doors open at 8:30 to breathe in the BAGeL Radio tunes in the company of like-minded folk on a big-assed sound system.

Thanks to everyone who has already purchased advance tickets.  For more details please visit http://bagelradio.com/presents

We will have a couple of pair of tickets to give away, so if you are 21+, tune in and keep your ears peeled for your chance to win.

Technical Difficulties

Due to problems with our internet connection, BAGeL Radio is currently off the air. We hope to be back at about 7:30 p.m. Pacific Time. We apologize for the inconvenience. Believe me, we are even more pissed off about it than you are.

We recommend that you check out IndiePopRocks on SomaFM while we are down. But only while we are down. Then come back to us.

UPDATE: 7:45 p.m. -- we're back, please join us.

Live Blogging From SanFran MusicTech Summit

This is going to be a good day.

Check it out: http://sfmusictech.com/

This post will be updated when possible throughout the day.

[2:00 p.m. update] I was asked to fill-in for Rusty Hodge of SomaFM to participate on a panel called "Streamng: The Future of Radio?" moderated by Kurt Hanson of AccuRadio and alongside Tom Conrad of Pandora and Dave Benson of KFOG. That was fun!
